My real name is Andrew and I am a student at the University of Waterloo in Waterloo,
Ontario Canada. I am in Environmental Engineering (Civil Branch)
and co-operative education (that means I go to school for 4
months, then work for 4 months). It's a pretty good school but a lot of hard work. I have a girlfriend who I've been with for four years, and she is currently a student at Sheridan College Trafalgar Campus, studying illustration (watch out, she may be the next Doug Chiang...).
Most importantly, you should know I'm a 21 year old kid. I love Star Wars. Ever since I was a young lad I've been facinated by the glorious universe and storyline from a long time ago in that galaxy far, far away. The past few years I have spent eagerly anticipating Episode I: The Phantom Menace. This process will most likely repeat for Episodes II and III. Star Wars caused me to collect toys, which I do too much of. I get the new POTF2 line of course, but I also like some of the McFarlane Toys action figures, which are really well made (Spawn and the various movie-related figures). I pick up the occasional comic, and it's usually either Spawn, Star Wars, or something that catches my eye at the store.
I am also an avid computer gamer. I love my PC and get withdrawl symptoms (really) if I am away from it for too long. Some of the games I am currently playing are X-Wing Alliance, Baldur's Gate, Rainbow Six, and Rogue Spear. I am also anxiously awaiting Diablo II, which should be out this December. Baldur's Gate is by far one of the most addictive and absorbing games I have played in a long time. Currently my favorite game.
I really like movies, and I like to attend as many at the theatre as possible. Some of my all time favorites (besides Star Wars) are Raiders of the Lost Ark, Blade Runner, Aliens, Big Trouble in Little China, and Willow to name a few. I also like to read, and my book reviews section is what I enjoy doing most at this site. Currently I've been reading a lot of William S. Burroughs, but I'd have to say my favorite author is Guy Gavriel Kay. The best book I've read lately is Crash, by J.G. Ballard.
